Troy vs. Arkansas Prediction and Odds for Monday, November 28 (Big Step Up in Weight Class for Troy)
By Josh Yourish
Arkansas didn’t win the Maui Invitational, but it had a really impressive showing in Hawaii. The Razorbacks went toe-to-toe with an excellent Creighton team in a loss and beat a ranked San Diego State team, 78-74.
Now, they’re back in Arkansas with exactly a month until SEC play begins. To start the stretch, they will take on 6-1 Troy who is well rested after a 118-61 win over Southern University at New Orleans.
How will the Troy Trojans handle the step up in competition? Let’s take a look at what Vegas thinks and check the odds.

Troy vs. Arkansas Prediction and Pick
Troy hasn’t played anyone yet, at least not anyone in the same weight class as Arkansas. The Trojans' lone loss of the year came to the University of St. Thomas and their best win is against 1-8 Florida State.
Their advantage will be rest. While Arkansas was playing two slugfests in Maui, the Trojans were likely enjoying Thanksgiving week with their families and they haven’t played since last Tuesday.
This could be a letdown sport for Arkansas. They’ve spent a lot of time traveling and playing ranked teams and now they’re back home against an unimpressive Troy team, but they’re just so athletic and talented. Anthony Black has been amazing as a freshman, he is averaging 14.2 points and 3.5 assists, but that doesn’t tell the story of his 26, 6 and 6 against Creighton, or his 26, 6 and 3 against Louisville.
Arkansas is still waiting on Nick Smith Jr. the real prize of their freshman class and for its shooting to come around. The Razorbacks are only making 29.9% of their 3-pointers, but they won’t need either to run up the score on Troy.
Pick: Arkansas -17.5 (-105)
