UPDATE: Tua Tagovailoa suffered bruised ribs, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The x-rays on Tagovailoa were negative, but the second-year signal-caller will undergo an MRI tomorrow and is apparently in a lot of pain. The Dolphins certainly hope that this isn't a long-term injury for Tua. What follows is the initial story of Tagovailoa leaving the game.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was carted off the field in the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills after taking a big hit early in the game.

Tagovailoa took some major hits early in the game, and Jacoby Brissett replaced him at quarterback.

This is a massive blow for Miami against the best team in the AFC East. Miami won its Week 1 matchup and was all the way up to +2500 in the odds to win the Super Bowl this season. Tagovailoa was ranked at No. 18 in FanSided National NFL Insider Matt Verderame’s latest Quarterback Power Rankings.
“Tagovailoa is under plenty of pressure, and he played a decent game to nip the Patriots, 17-16,” Verderame wrote. “The stats aren’t eye-popping, but the Dolphins should be encouraged.”
Now, Miami will have to pivot with Brissett at quarterback. The Dolphins are trailing the Bills 14-0 and are currently 14.5-point underdogs at WynnBET at home.
