The Miami Dolphins have the worst kind of problem. They don’t know who to start at quarterback and neither of them are particularly great.

Miami is 2-7 on the season and have gone back and forth between Jacoby Brissett and Tua Tagovailoa. In a perfect world, Tagovailoa would be the unquestioned starter, as he was the Dolphins’ first-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. However, with his play a bit shaky and his health up in the air, the Dolphins have a decision to make on who to start Thursday night against Baltimore.

WynnBET doesn’t have props up yet for either quarterback, but they should prepare them for Jacoby Brissett -- since that’s who should start for Miami. Both quarterbacks are 1-3 in games they started and finished this season (Tagovailoa left early in Week 2).

Brissett is averaging 233.5 yards and just over one touchdown per start. Tagovailoa is averaging 256.75 yards and 1.75 touchdowns per start. While Tagovailoa has better numbers, it’s the inconsistency that worries me. He has seven touchdowns in his four starts and four of them came in one game.

If Tagovailoa is still dealiing with a finger injury, his inconsistency is going to be magnified against an aggressive Baltimore defense.

Tagovailoa, when healthy, is going to be the quarterback of this team. In an already lost season, there’s no need to rush him onto the field just to get beat up in a loss.

Brissett just won a game for the Dolphins and could use some of that momentum against the Ravens.

Again, Miami doesn’t have the best options, but it needs to go with the safer choice and try to win that way.
