Tulane vs. Houston Prediction and Pick

It's tempting to bet on a team as good as Houston, who is a legitimate national championship contender. With that being spread, I'm going to back Tulane to keep it within 17 points.

One of the ways that Houston has been able to capitalize on weak teams and blow them out, is by forcing a plethora of turnovers. The Cougars rank 15th in opponent turnovers per possession. They may struggle in this department tonight, as Tulane ranks 26th in turnovers per possession. The Green Wave does a fantastic job of not coughing up the ball.

Tulane is also a solid shooting team, ranking 112th in effective field goal percentage. Certainly not among the best shooting teams in the country, but good enough that I can feel comfortable backing them to keep it within the given spread.

Pick: Tulane +17
