The Toronto Blue Jays face off against the AL Central-leading Minnesota Twins on Sunday. This is the last game of a three-game series. The Twins have been a little shaky lately, while Toronto has been surging up the standings.

Will the Twins be able to start putting wins together, or will the Jays continue their quest to catch the Yankees atop the AL East?

Twins vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Odds

Toronto is going to lean on Kevin Gausman in this one. The Twins are in the middle of the pack in terms of strikeouts per game, but Gausman has the stuff to get them swinging and missing.

This year, Gausman has an ERA just above 2.50, is top 10 in strikeouts and has a top 15 record. He’s going to set the tone for the Jays and lead them to another win.

Another reason why I’m fading Minnesota is because of their inconsistency. They have sprinkled in a few blowout wins in between bad losses over the last two weeks. I think Gausman puts enough pressure on the Twins and exposes them for being in the rut they’re currently in.

Lean: Jays -1.5 (+105)
