The 4-4 Boston Red Sox host the 3-5 Minnesota Twins today at 1:35 PM EST in the third game of a four-game set.

These squads split the first two games of the series, with Minnesota winning 8-4 on Friday and Boston notching a 4-0 victory yesterday.

Boston will send Michael Wacha to the mound today. Wacha looked stellar in his first start against the Tigers, allowing just two hits and one run over 4.1 innings, but was mostly terrible in 2021.

Bailey Ober gets the nod for Minnesota and while he's shown tremendous potential, he's yet to put it all together. He gave up four runs over five innings against Seattle in his first outing and faces a much more potent Red Sox lineup in this one.

So who has the edge? Will Wacha build off his strong beginning to 2022 or will he revert back to the pitcher of old? And will Ober start to harness his potential or is Boston's lineup to stacked?

Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook as we search for value in this Twins vs Red Sox matchup:

Red Sox vs Orioles Prediction and Pick

After a terrible start to 2021, Michael Wacha started to turn things around at the end of the season. In his final seven starts, he surrendered more than two runs just once and limited the Twins to two runs over six innings in that span.

Ober struggled to close the year, amassing a 5.23 ERA in September, but shut out the Red Sox in five innings in his lone start against them last year.

Offensively, Minnesota is really struggling. They have just 10 runs in their last four games, and eight of those came in the series opener against Boston. In two of their last three, the Twins have been flat shut out.

The Boston bats, meanwhile, are hot. The Red Sox are averaging 5.5 runs over their last four contests. Rafael Devers, in particular, is starting to see the ball well and I think he comes through against Ober today.

Throw in that Boston has a bullpen advantage (3.03 ERA compared to Minnesota's 4.17) and I love the value on the home squad. They have a lineup advantage with Byron Buxton still out for the Twins, a pitching matchup advantage with an improving Wacha, and a bullpen advantage. The Red Sox should take care of business at Fenway Park today.

Pick: Red Sox (-116)
