After losing four games in a five-game set against the Cleveland Guardians, things aren’t looking too good for the Minnesota Twins. They’re eight games back of the divisional lead and 8.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot.

They just lost to the Royals last night, worsening their chances of getting to the tournament. With their season holding on by a thread, can the Twins pull off an improbable run over the last two weeks of the season?

Twins vs. Royals Prediction and Pick

The Twins certainly look like a broken team. They’ve lost six of their last four games and are basically falling out of the playoff race.

However, I see last night’s loss to the Royals as a slight hangover from the Guardians series. There’s still a chance at the playoffs, and I expect the Twins to bounce back tonight.

Minnesota is 12-5 SU against the Royals this year. Kansas City also just isn’t a great team, so I’d rather bet on the desperate Twins than the Royals.

On the season, the Twins are 54-36 SU as favorites. This is a good spot to back them in, especially with their backs against the wall.
