Fresh off a double-header, the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins will finish their series today. The Twins are in a dogfight with the Guardians in the AL Central for the divisional crown. They need to win the division or else they’ll be left out of the playoffs.

New York has fallen and settled into the No. 2 seed in the AL, but can the Yanks ramp their season back up heading into the playoffs?

Twins vs. Yankees Prediction and Pick

The Twins are putting Sonny Gray on the mound and I’m a little nervous about that. However, his last start wasn’t a complete stinker. The Yankees have also looked sluggish over the last week.

New York has the third-worst OPS in the last seven days and in the bottom 10 in the runs and hits. If New York continues to struggle at the plate, Gray might be able to get his first win in nearly a month.

Both of these teams are some of the worst teams in the league against the run line. They’re both in the bottom 10, but the Yankees are in the bottom five. I’ll take that and run with it, fading the Bronx Bombers and their struggling offense.

Lean: Twins ML (+120)
