Two Tyler Boyd Prop Bets You Should Bet the OVER On
By Jon Helmkamp
The Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams have no shortage of superstars, especially at the wide receiver position. While Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Cooper Kupp, and Odell Beckham Jr get plenty of attention, I’m going to give some much-deserved love to an unsung hero in the Bengals offense — Tyler Boyd.
Tyler Boyd’s prop bets are a great bet
Heading into the Super Bowl, Boyd’s prop bets via WynnBET are set at 4.0 (-105) receptions and 43.5 receiving yards (-115).
I’m running, not walking, to take the over on both of them.
Chase and Higgins are the focal points of this passing game, and one of them is going to be seeing a heavy dose of the best cornerback in the league in Jalen Ramsey. I have a sneaking suspicion that Ramsey will be on Higgins, while Chase will see a double-team. If that’s the case, then Boyd could be a huge benefactor out of the slot.
With the lines that these props are set at, he doesn’t have to have an incredible game. Five catched for 44 yards would cash, and those are low totals. In a game where the Bengals offensive line figures to be heavily overmatched by the Rams pass rush, Joe Burrow will need to get the ball out of his hands quickly. Boyd could be that option.
Boyd has had big games this year
Boyd has had four or more catches in six of his last eight games, including the playoffs. His yardage total hasn’t been there lately, failing to top 36 yards in his last four games, but he has eight games this year with over 44 receiving yards.
He also has numerous games with significantly more than that, including a 96-yard, one touchdown performance against the Denver Broncos in Week 15. Joe Burrow has no problem throwing to whoever is open on his team, trusting that all three of his receiving options are capable at carving up opposing defenses.
Sometimes the best bets are the least flashy, and I’ll be putting my money on Boyd to be a featured part of the Bengals attack today.
