Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III Odds: 'The Gypsy King' Set as Big Favorite in Trilogy Fight

The boxing world has been cursed for the majority of 2021. Several highly-anticipated bouts have been cancelled or delayed, including those involving Tyson Fury.

Fury was meant to fight Anthony Joshua this past summer, which would have given us the first unified heavyweight champion of the world since Lennox Lewis achieved the feat in 1999.

The fight was put on the back burner, at least for now, as Deontay Wilder enacted his rematch clause against Fury. The topic was highly debated, as Fury and his camp believed that the rematch clause had expired, while Wilder argued it hadn’t. In May of this year, an arbitration judge ruled in favor of Wilder, which means we’ll get to see a trilogy fight between the two heavyweights.

The first fight between Fury and Wilder took place in December of 2018 and ended in a controversial draw. The rematch took place in February of 2020, and Fury won the fight via a convincing TKO in the seventh round.

Many boxing fans were looking forward to Fury facing Joshua, who is the only boxer left who has a case for being the best heavyweight boxer in the world, but we’ll have to wait to see that happen.
