UCF vs. Temple Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 9
By Matt De Saro
The UCF Knights are looking to build off a big win last week against Memphis when they head to Lincoln Financial Field to face off against the Temple Owls.
The Knights needed that win after losing three of their previous four games with their lone win in October coming to Eastern Carolina. UCF is now 4-3 on the year and improved to 2-2 in the conference.
Temple was not so lucky last weekend and dropped to 3-4 after a 34-14 loss to Central Florida. It was the second loss in a row for the Owls, but, the other was to Cincinnati which was to be expected. What was not expected was Temple nearly getting shut out and losing by 49 points.
So, which of these middle-of-the-road AAC teams gets the best of this Week 9 game? Here are the odds for this matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

UCF vs. Temple Carolina Prediction and Pick
I really like what I saw in the Knight’s 24-7 win over Memphis. Especially coming off a very difficult loss to Cincinnati 56-21. It was a nice bounce-back performance from this team and it really showcased how good the UCF defense can be.
While they rank in the middle of the AAC in terms of defense, allowing 371 yards and 28.6 points per game, this squad really stepped up against the Tigers. They limited Peter Parrish to 215 yards, zero touchdowns, and forced three interceptions. Memphis was unable to get anything going on the ground either with Parrish leading the team with 60 yards on 22 carries.
While this does not forgive the many shortcomings of this UCF team, they showed me enough trust in this game versus Temple.
The Owls are in a downward spiral right now after getting crushed by USF last weekend. Temple was unable to do anything to stop Central Florida’s running game. Actually, they haven’t been stopping anybody on the ground and currently average 5.2 yards per rush attempt against. That ranks them 114th in the nation. Expect Isaiah Bowser to see a lot of work and lead the Knights to a second straight conference win.
Prediction: UCF -10.5 (-110)
