UCLA vs. Oregon Prediction and Odds (Ducks Live for Upset)
By Reed Wallach
Oregon has played themselves onto the NCAA Tournament bubble but is going to need to do some more to get inside the 68 team field. They have an opportunity to do that when they welcome UCLA to Eugene on Thursday night.
The Ducks scored an upset win at UCLA last month that started their hot streak and the team will look to make it a season sweep of the Bruins at home.
Here are the odds for the PAC-12 showdown courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook:
UCLA vs. Oregon Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- UCLA: -3 (-110)
- Oregon: +3 (-110)
Moneyline:
- UCLA: -160
- Oregon: +130
Total: 137 (Over -110/Under -110)
UCLA vs. Oregon Prediction and Pick
Oregon hung tough against Arizona on the road last week and will need to bring some similar shooting in order to beat a well balanced but banged up UCLA team.
Bruins point guard Tyger Campbell has missed two of the team's past three games and was hampered in the one he played in. Campbell is going to be necessary against the Ducks turnover heavy zone defense that gave the team fits in the first game.
ShotQuality graded the OT loss to the Ducks on January 13th a two possession win for last season's Final 4 club, so there should be some optimism on the road. However, Oregon is one of the best home teams in the country, and Dana Altman is money as an underdog.
Since coming to Eugene in 2010, Altman's Ducks are 68-47-1 against the spread (ATS) as a dog and 11-7 as a home pooch. Further, the team is 133-105-5 ATS in PAC 12 play.
I think the Ducks win in a desperate home spot and am willing to take a stab on the moneyline.
LEAN: Oregon +130
