UFC 287: Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira Odds and Prediction
A highly anticipated rematch is set to go down at UFC 287 this Saturday.
Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira will write the next chapter in their storied rivalry when they meet in the octagon for the main event with the Middleweight title on the line.
The two have faced off twice in kickboxing and once in the UFC. Pereira won all three instances, with a similar story in each bout. Adesanya was on his way to winning all three fights, but one bad judges decision and two late knockouts has him 0-3 against the Brazilian.
The latest instance was at UFC 281 when Adesanya was KO'd with three minutes left in the fight, while being decidedly up on the score cards.
Will we see the same result this weekend, or will Adesanya finally be able to beat his nemesis?

Adesanya vs. Pereira Odds
Despite previous results, Pereira is once again set as the underdog in this fight.
I think the odds are mispriced and should be flipped in the opposite direction. Pereira may have been down on the scorecards to Adesanya, but he's now 3-0 against him and continuously betting on Adesanya and expecting a different result would be insane.
You can't deny the psychological edge Pereira will have over his opponent. Not only did he beat him twice in kickboxing, but he came over to Adesanya's sport and did the exact same thing, stealing his belt in the process.
This fight is eerily similar to the latest PPV event between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards. That fight was a trilogy bout, with Edwards winning the second time around. That fight was also decided by a late knockout after Usman was dominating for 4+ rounds.
Heading into the trilogy, people were betting on Usman due to the results leading up to the knockout, which was a mistake. Edwards went on to win via decision as a sizable underdog.
