The UFC heads North of the Border for its first event in Canada since September 2019 for this week's UFC 289.

The main event will be headlined by a women's bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Irene Aldana. While not confirmed, this bout could very well be the final one for who many people regard as the women's MMA GOAT in Nunes.

Let's take a look at the odds for the main event and then I'll give you my prediction.

Nunes vs. Aldana Odds

Nunes vs. Aldana Prediction

There's no question that Nunes is the more talented and skilled fighter, but whenever someone is hinting at retirement, it's tough to full trust that they'll put on their best performance. You have to be all in when stepping in the cage and if Nunes isn't mentally as strong as she has been throughout her career, it could spell disaster.

So, for that reason, I'm going to look at the total in the fight instead and take the UNDER 2.5.

Aldana fights a wild style that results in finishes one way or the other. Two of her last three fights have been finished in the first round and another was over in the third.

She lands 5.39 significant strike per minute but also aborbs 5.71 significant strikes per minute. That's a recipe for a quick finish.

I'll take the UNDER 2.5 rounds at plus-money.
