The UFC will complete its set of three straight weekends with an event with this Saturday’s UFC Vegas 36. Much like last week, the majority of the card is underwhelming when it comes to big-name fighters, but the main event will be must-watch tv for fans of the sport.

Derek Brunson (22-7) will take on Darren Till (18-3-1) in a pivotal middleweight bout as both fighters try to return to title contender status.

Till vs Brunson Pick & Prediction

Darren Till is one of the most popular fighters on the UFC’s roster, but he’ll need to string some wins together if he wants to return to the conversation of being a potential contender for the title. After starting his MMA career with a 17-0-1 record, Till has lost three of his last four fights.

He’ll be facing Derek Brunson, who could be a win away from a shot at the UFC Middleweight Championship. He’s won four straight fights, including his latest win over Kevin Holland in March of this year.

It might be my bias of loving to bet on UFC underdog, but I have to back Brunson here at +155. Since losing to Israel Adesanya in 2018, Brunson has returned to his wrestling roots in his latest fights and it has proved to be a successful strategy for him. He’s landed a combined 16 takedowns in his last four contests, and now he’s facing Till who has struggled in that department in his career.

The takedown was Till’s undoing in his last bout against Whittaker, and Gastelum found success with his wrestling against him as well, despite Till squeaking out the split decision victory.

There’s a lot of value to be had on Brunson at +155 in the main event on Saturday night.
