The UNLV Rebels head to Falcon Stadium at the Air Force Academy on Friday afternoon to take on the Air Force Falcons. UNLV has been a mess this year and fell to 2-9 on the season after getting beat 28-20 by San Diego State in Week 12. They rallied after trailing 21-10 at the half but ultimately succumbed to a better Aztecs team. 

The Rebels were led by QB Cameron Field and gained 394 yards of total offense but he has turnover issues. The Freshman has a TD to INT ratio of 6/11 and a QBR of just 27.2 and is not the guy to lead this program now or in the near future. 

On the flip side, the Air Force Falcons are 8-3 on the season and lead the Mountain West Mountain division along with Utah State and Boise State. The Falcons hold the tiebreaker over the Broncos but will need the Utah State Aggies to lose this week against the New Mexico Lobos for a chance at the division.

UNLV vs. Air Force Prediction and Pick

Air Force is having one of their best seasons in recent memory and has all the momentum in the world heading into this home finale. The Falcons are coming off a close win over the Nevada Wolf Pack and are looking to end their regular season on a three-game win streak. With a win, Air Force can put themselves into a position to sneak into the conference championship game if Utah State loses and, therefore, have a lot riding on this game. 

Despite the close call last week against Nevada that went to triple OT, Air Force is clearly the better team. The Falcons have also covered six of their last eight games overall and I think they soar to another big win this week against UNLV.
