The last unbeaten in college basketball was knocked off this week as New Mexico was upset on the road against Fresno State.

However, the Lobos return to The Pit to face UNLV, another contender in the Mountain West this season, but has dropped their first two games in league play so far. Will New Mexico get back on track with their explosive offense around guard Jaelen House and Jamal Mashburn, or will UNLV's ball pressure shut down their offense?

Both teams love to play fast and in the open court, but I'm curious if UNLV's ball pressure can get them into trouble on the road. While the Runnin' Rebels are second in the country at generating turnovers, per KenPom, New Mexico has elite ball handlers like House and the team gets to the line at the 12th highest rate.

The Lobos offense is one of the best in the mid-major ranks, they are 49th in effective field goal percentage and capable both inside and out. UNLV's defense packs in the paint and dares teams to beat them from the perimeter, but New Mexico is comfortable from there, hsootign 37% as a team even though a ton of their offense comes from isnide.

I struggle to see UNLV's offense keeping pace on the road, The team is bottom third nationally in effective field goal percentage and doesn't thrive anywhere in comparison to New Mexico.

The Lobos have been destructive at home, most recently throttling Colorado State 88-69 to open league play, and I think they get back on track against a UNLV defense that can get itself into trouble on the road.
