Before we start previewing the second round and taking stock in each series, let's take a look at the NBA Championship picture with the Futures odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

  • Boston Celtics: +350

  • Milwaukee Bucks: +700
  • Memphis Grizzlies: +1000
  • Dallas Mavericks: +1500

Suns, Warriors Seen as Equals in Championship Odds

After beating the Denver Nuggets in 5 games, the Golden State Warriors have pulled into a tie atop the odds board to be the next NBA champions alongside the Phoenix Suns.

Phoenix, who has been the favorites to win it all since the start of the postseason, got Devin Booker back from a hamstring injury in Game 6, as their health looks to be on the upswing despite the odds shift towards Golden State.

Of course, it's worth noting that the Suns and Warriors are both heavy favorites to win their second round series but Phoenix would have home court advantage in a potential Western Conference Finals.

Celtics Clear Favorites in the East

After disposing of the Brooklyn Nets in 4 games in the first round, the Celtics are now seen as the most likely team to advance to the NBA Finals from the Eastern Conference.

Each of the remaining 3 teams in addition to Boston have injury issues: Khris Middleton of the Bucks, Joel Embiid for the 76ers as well as Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat; so Boston has an inherent leg up on the competition. The Celtics looked like world beaters in their first round series and are also getting healthier with the return of Robert Williams from injury.

Boston is +350 to win the NBA Championship and clear favorites in their second round series against the Bucks. Without Middleton, the Bucks have shifted to +700 to make it back-to-back titles as they get set for Game 1 on the road against the Celtics.
