We have arrived at the final round of the 2022 U.S. Open.

After shaky play across the field on Saturday, we find two men atop the leaderboard heading into Sunday at The Country Club, Will Zalatoris and Matthew Fitzpatrick. Jon Rahm's double bogey on 18 cost him the outright lead, but he is alone in third place, one off the lead.

After that there is a handful of contenders at -2 and -1, creating a fantastic finish at Brookline on Father's Day. After poor conditions made the course tough to play on Saturday, Sunday's conditions may be a bit more optimistic.

Here are the updated odds for the U.S. Open and three golfers to consider betting on:

2022 U.S. Open Odds

  • Matthew Fitzpatrick: +310
  • Will Zalatoris: +350
  • Jon Rahm: +400
  • Scotti Scheffler: +500
  • Rory McIlroy: +1000
  • Keegan Bradley: +1400
  • Adam Hadwin: +2400
  • Joel Dahmen: +5000

Jon Rahm (+400)

Rahm's double bogey was costly as he would've entered the final round with a one shot lead, but he is still firmly in contention and in my opinion should be the favorite given the lack of pedigree ahead of him.

Outside of that double bogey, he has been dominant this weekend, second in strokes gained off the tee and third in putting. Hungry for his second consecutive U.S. Open, I expect him to put up a score and put the pressure on the two leaders early.

Rory McIlroy (+1000)

McIlroy has had an up and down weekend at Brookline but still finds him in the mix heading into Sunday courtesy of his clutch putting. McIlroy has gained more than three strokes with his putter this weekend and it feels that he is primed to put this together and contend on Sunday.

Last week's RBC Canadian Open winner, McIlroy has simply hung around at this point but has yet to put together a complete round, could Sunday be the day with better scoring conditions? He's only three off the lead and there aren't many proven commodities ahead of him.

Keegan Bradley (+1400)

It might be the narrative talking, but Bradley has been playing fine golf in front of his hometown Boston crowd. He is tied for fourth at -2 with Adam Hadwin and Scottie Scheffler and has the pedigree to contend for his second Major victory (2011 PGA Championship).

Bradley has been great from in close, third best SG: Approach this weekend, and will have the crowd behind him. If you are looking for someone further down the board, Bradley has proven he can contend before.
