If you're looking for a late night sweat, might I suggest the Pac 12 showdown between USC and California?

It's not exactly a matchup between juggernauts, considering the teams are a combined 4-10 on the season, but at least it gives us something to bet on!

Let's dive into the odds for the game and then I'll give you my best bet.

USC vs. California Odds, Spread, and Total

USC vs. California Prediction and Pick

California and Louisville should play in a game at some point this season to determine which of the two can take the title of the worst Power 5 team in the country. They are both a disgrace to their respective schools.

California is 0-7 straight up and 2-5 against the spread on the season, sporting losses to UC Davis, UC San Diego, Southern University and Texas State. It's been a bad start for California, and I expect it to only get worse.

USC hasn't been great either at 4-3, but the Trojans have had a relatively tough schedule and have wins over BYU, and Vermont. It doesn't look like they'll be a good team by any stretch of the imagination these season, but they're certainly better than Cal.

Here's where California ranks in key statistics heading into tonight's game:

  • 298th in effective FG%
  • 223rd in defensive efficency
  • 354th in turnovers per possession
  • 343rd in effective possession ratio
  • 287th in steals per possession

I could keep listing numbers, but the long and short of it is that the Golden Bears stink. Give me USC to cover this spread.
