Utah State vs. Colorado State Prediction and Pick
The Aggies looked dominant on Wednesday, and they honestly match up pretty well with the Rams, as they are a better team in terms of effective field goal percentage and opponent effective field goal percentage this season.
This big issue for Utah State is its 3-point shooting, as it ranks dead last in the Mountain West at 30.7 percent. However, it makes up for that by shooting the best percentage from two-point range in the conference.
The Rams have been pretty dominant all season, going 24-4, but I’m surprised to see that KenPom projects this as just a one-point win for Colorado State. This line has moved from 1.5 to 3.5, and I think that’s a solid number to back the Aggies at, as they try to keep their conference tournament and NCAA Tournament hopes alive.
However, I’d rather make a play on the total in this game.
Colorado State has the best offensive efficiency in the conference, and the first game between these two teams finished with 149 points before a 66-55 slugfest in the second meeting.
I think both of these teams find their offensive stride again, leading me to the over.
Lean: OVER 138 (-110)
