Utah State vs. Fresno State Prediction and Odds (Trust the Bulldogs Defense to Secure a Win)
By Matt De Saro
The late game on Tuesday night features a Mountain West matchup between the Utah State Aggies and Fresno State Bulldogs.
The Aggies started the year with a strong 10-3 record but have lost three of their first four MWC games and currently sit in the 9th spot in the conference. They have lost their last two games in a row to Colorado State and Wyoming.
In contrast, Utah State is riding a two-game win streak and is fifth in the Mountain West heading into Tuesday’s nightcap. The wins come after a number of postponements and it’s clear the Bulldogs used their time off well.
This is the first time these two teams will meet this season with Utah State sweeping the series last year.

Utah State vs. Fresno State Prediction and Pick
The Aggies have won nine games in a row against the Bulldogs but Fresno State is a much harder matchup this time around. The Bulldogs are on an 8-0 run at home and undefeated as favorites. They are 6-1 ATS at the Save Mart Center.
However, the Bulldogs have one area in which they struggle mightily: Scoring. This is, admittedly, a pretty important aspect of the game. The Bulldogs rank outside the top 250 in points per game and 213th in rebounds per game.
It is the defense that is the real star of this team and ranks second in the nation at 56.8 points per game surrendered. And this strategy has been working for them. They are in contention for the number one spot in the conference and have been playing hungry. I think this is a good spot to take the Bulldogs and snag a late-night win on Tuesday.
Pick: Fresno State -3 (-110)
