The Alabama Crimson Tide is one of the most prolific three-point shooting teams in the nation and ranks sixth in attempts per game. The problem is, however, they are not as good at making these shots as they are at taking them and rank 295th in 3-point shooting percentage. Nevertheless, threes are the name of the game tonight and Vanderbilt will have to try and lock down the perimeter best they can.

These two SEC rivals are set to tip-off in a few hours to determine who advances to the next round of the conference tournament. Here are the odds for this SEC Tournament showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Vanderbilt vs. Alabama Odds, Spread, and Total

Spread:

  • Vanderbilt +6 (-110)
  • Alabama -6 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Vanderbilt +200
  • Alabama -250

Total: 149 (Over -110/Under -110)

Vanderbilt vs. Alabama Prediction and Pick

The Crimson Tide might not be the most efficient offense in the nation but they sure are effective. Despite their reliance on the deep ball, they rank ninth in the nation in offensive scoring and are one of the hardest teams to keep pace with. This will be a difficult task for Vanderbilt as they rank 174th on offense and 304th in three-point attempts. Vanderbilt is more a defensive-minded team and won’t be able to shoot the ball the way Alabama does.

But, the Commodores are also the 23rd ranked perimeter defense in the league. That is something that could become a real problem for Alabama. I talk a lot about not betting on teams that are one-dimension and it’s for this exact reason. In this case, Vandy is the perfect counter for Alabama’s offense and is on a 7-0 ATS run as underdogs.

Oh, and Alabama is one of the worst ATS teams in Division 1 basketball at 11-20. As betting favorites, they are 7-17 and I just can't trust them tonight to cover. Moreover, I think Alabama outright loses this game and spends the weekend on the couch instead of on the court.

Pick: Vanderbilt +200 to win
