Vanderbilt vs. Georgia Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 7
By Josh Yourish
Vanderbilt continues its run as one of the worst college football programs in the Power 5, and the Commodores take their 3-3 record to Athen Georgia to play the Georgia Bulldogs who have reclaimed their spot as the No. 1 team in the country.
Georgia had a scare two weeks ago, but it is once again on a collision course with Alabama. Vanderbilt won’t win the game, we know that, but that’s why Vegas sets the spread and the total and we get to bet on them.

Vanderbilt vs. Georgia Prediction and Pick
Vanderbilt is ranked 126 out of 131 teams in total defense and 84th in total offense, most of that stemming from the beating it gave Hawaii in their first game of the season. Georgia, on the other hand, is not nearly as dominant as it was a year ago. The Bulldogs are only eighth in total defense and fourth in scoring defense allowing 10.7 points per game.
This Georgia team is loaded like last year’s team, but the one weakness it does have is a true No. 1 outside receiver. The Bulldogs' incredible tight end, Brock Bowers has to fill this role and that is admirable, but it seems like they still need a true big play threat that can win on the outside to blow teams out.
Sure, they have beaten South Carolina 48-7 and Oregon 49-3, but those are the only two games in which they’ve won by more than 38, which is the spread for this game. I don’t love the idea of taking Vanderbilt, but Georgia has Florida next week and Tennessee after that, it will sleep walk to a 25-point win and Vandy will cover in spite of itself.
I also love the under because that 25 point win might be 28-3.
Pick: Vanderbilt +38.5 (-110) and Under 58.5 (-110)
