Vegas Knows Something We Don't About the Broncos

WynnBET already has odds up for Super Bowl 57 and there are some intriguing names at the top of the odds standings.

While the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are the clear top contenders, the Denver Broncos have the fourth shortest odds in the AFC (+1500) to win the Super Bowl – which seems a little far fetched.

This is a Broncos team that was last in the AFC West, a division with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert. Since 2012, the Broncos have been a team that has been a quarterback away. They were able to get Peyton Manning to step in and win a Super Bowl, but the Broncos have been devoid of a legitimate quarterback for a majority of the last decade.

With all the noise about Aaron Rodgers going to the Broncos, like last season, the Broncos’ odds suggest the oddsmakers know something that the public doesn’t.

Outside of Rodgers, there are plenty of quarterbacks who could step into that role. Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson are two names that will be linked to the Broncos this entire offseason. Even if the Broncos can’t get one of the top quarterbacks on the market, there will still be quarterbacks available (i.e. Jimmy Garoppolo).

Earlier this week, our resident Broncos fan Peter Dewey also wrote about how surprisingly high the Broncos’ odds were.

Let’s not forget that the Broncos have won five, six, seven, five and seven games over the last five seasons. This team may look complete on paper, but there is more to fix than simply adding an elite quarterback. That may be enough to get them to the playoffs, but it’s not a lock that they can contend for anything beyond that. Until something more concrete materializes in the Rodgers market, the Broncos are simply too risky of a bet at +1500 for my liking.

Unless the Broncos can absolutely get one of those quarterbacks, it seems silly for the oddsmakers to fall into this trap again.
