Week 17’s edition of Sunday Night Football is a clash between NFC North rivals, the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers. The Vikings head to Lambeau Field attempting to be the first team to win there all season. They need a lot to happen for them to slide up two from the No. 9 spot in the NFC to the No. 7 spot in order to qualify for the playoffs. But, a win against the Packers is a good start.

The Packers improved to 12-3 after a close call of their own in Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns. They remain the top seed in the NFC and have the best record in the NFL as the only 13 win team.

This should be an easy win for the Packers, but will they fail to cover at home two weeks in a row? Here are the odds for this Week 17 NFC North showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Vikings vs. Packers Prediction and Pick

The Minnesota Vikings have already beaten the Green Bay Packers this season but I wouldn’t bet on that happening again on Sunday night. The Vikings won on a game-ending field goal after losing their lead to the Packers late in the game.

While the Packers have dominated the division since Matt LaFleur took over, they continue to struggle against the Vikings. Their most recent loss to Minnesota was the Packers’ second in a row to their rivals dating back to last season.

It is important to note that those previous two losses saw the Packers’ defense dominated by Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson. Cook is currently on the reserve COVID-19 list after testing positive and his availability for Week 17 is still up in the air. Jefferson, however, picked up the slack against the Rams and caught eight passes for 116 yards.

The Packers are good enough to will themselves to a win here but I think this game comes down to the wire. Green Bay remains unbeaten at home but drops their second straight against the spread.

Pick: Minnesota Vikings +6.5 (-110)
