Vikings vs. Cardinals: Odds, Spread, Over/Under and Prediction for Week 2
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Minnesota Vikings lost an overtime nailbiter against the Cincinnati Bengals last week, with rookie kicker Evan McPherson sinking the Vikings’ ship with a 33-yard field goal.
Kirk Cousins looked solid, completing 36-of-49 passes for 351 yards and two touchdowns. Minnesota didn’t do themselves any favors in the game by taking 12 penalties and failing to record a single takeaway.
The Arizona Cardinals went into Tennessee as underdogs, then thrashed them in their own house like they owned the place. Kyler Murray threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for another; getting his name into the MVP conversation early.
The Cardinals defense sacked Titans’ quarterback Ryan Tannehill six times, with edge rusher Chandler Jones picking up five sacks himself.

Vikings vs. Cardinals Prediction and Pick
The Arizona defense looked so dominant against Tennessee last week, I would like to see them do it again. It was immensely entertaining. The Cardinals defense treated Ryan Tannehill like a heavy bag, and put Derrick Henry on a treadmill; the defending rushing yard champ going nowhere. Arizona turned Nissan Stadium into their very own gym from hell.
I like the Cardinals in this Week 2 matchup, because they just outweigh the Vikings in pure talent. Everywhere you look on this Arizona team is a name and a face, and young faceless kids, trying to make a name for themselves. It’s a fun time to be a Cardinal.
I’ll take Arizona on the spread at +4.
