The Minnesota Vikings just keep winning games, they are 6-1 after a 34-26 win over Arizona in Week 8 and have the second best record in the NFC. Kirk Cousins continues to do enough and Kevin O’Connell has this team playing well in his first year on the job.

They might be the most under the radar one-loss team in a long time.

The Washington Commanders are always on the radar and whether it’s for good or bad reasons, lately it’s been good (at least on the field). Taylor Heinicke is 2-0 in his two starts after leading a game-winning drive in Indianapolis.

Hopefully we never have to see Carson Wentz play again, because Heinicke has this team at 4-4.

Vikings vs. Commanders Prediction and Pick

I am just going to come out and say it. The Minnesota Vikings are frauds. Not quite as fraudulent as the Giants 6-1 start, but it is pretty close. Their defense allows the fourth most passing yards per game, the second most yards per attempt, and their best win came in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers who are now 3-5.

They have played two teams that are currently over .500, one was the Miami Dolphins without Tua, the other was the Eagles who embarrassed them on Monday Night Football.

I refuse to trust Kirk Cousins, to have a team that is actually good. This isn't some Sean McVay hyper-efficient passing attack that we expected out of O'Connell. Cousins is averaging 6.6 yards per attempt and his average depth of target is only 6.5.

This is the same Kirk Cousins we have always known. Now I’m not sure if I should trust Taylor Heinicke either, but the Commanders have played solid football with him at quarterback. Two weeks ago, the Commanders didn’t just beat the Packers, they outgained them 364-232.

This is a rat line, it’s a trap and it feels like Vegas is dying for you to take Minnesota. I recognize that the Vikings are 6-1 and the Commanders are 4-4, but I think the Vikings are frauds, so give me Washington and the points.

Pick: Commanders +3.5 (-107)
