The Minnesota Vikings (3-4) lost to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, 20-16. It was a tough loss for the Vikings as the Cowboys offense was led by backup quarterback Cooper Rush, and Rush didn’t disappoint, throwing for 325 yards and two touchdowns.

Minnesota’s offense fell flat against a shaky Dallas defense, collecting just 278 yards. The Vikings won the turnover battle, 2-0, and the Cowboys committed 11 penalties but still managed to get the win.

The Baltimore Ravens (5-2) are coming off a bye week, and it was a fortunate week for Baltimore as the Cincinnati Bengals lost to the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cleveland Browns, allowing the Ravens to take over first place in the AFC North without a single snap.

Vikings vs. Ravens Prediction and Pick

The Vikings just lost to Cooper Rush and the Cowboys, that doesn’t give me much faith in them to get the job done against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

If Minnesota is going to have a chance in Week 9, Kirk Cousins is going to need a big game, and he could get it too, as Baltimore is allowing 296.1 passing yards per game, dead last in the NFL. The only problem is that the Vikings defense is allowing 120 rushing yards per game, and they could get destroyed on the ground by Lamar and company.

The Ravens lost their last game, 41-17, to Cincinnati, so their bye week came at a good time. It’s going to be a “get right” game for Baltimore, and I believe they will.

I’m taking the Ravens on the spread at -5.5 and I’m taking the over 49.5 before that line moves up into the 50s.
