Virginia Tech vs. Boston College Prediction and Pick
Boston College’s defense continues to play well, despite their disappointing third quarter against Syracuse last week. I’m going to give the Eagles a pass after having to deal with one of the best running backs in the country in Sean Tucker of the Orange.
Virginia Tech has a ho-hum offense, and they will most likely struggle to move the ball in Week 10 against BC.
Boston College needs to get their running game going in this matchup, facing a Hokies defense that is allowing 177.9 rushing yards per game, 95th-ranked in College Football. Eagles’ running back Pat Garwo III has carried Boston College’s offense before, and I would expect him to do it again.
This will be a low scoring game, with lots of rushing to churn down the clock.
I’m taking Boston College for the slight upset on the moneyline at +105 and the under 46.
