Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina Prediction and Odds (Tar Heels have Edge)
By Reed Wallach
North Carolina is building some momentum over the last few weeks of the season, evident in the team's destruction of Virginia, 63-43, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.
Now, the Tar Heels turn their attention to Virginia Tech, who is trying to make a late flurry to the NCAA Tournament in the conference tourney semifinal. Va. Tech disposed of Notre Dame and a win on Friday night may propel the Hokies into the field.
Can they complete their late season run? Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

- North Carolina: -2 (-110)

Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina Prediction and Pick
I'm not the biggest believer in the Tar Heels, but I believe that they are equipped to beat teams that lack athleticism and ability to win inside on the glass. Virginia Tech is the exact team that is set to struggle against UNC as their backcourt will struggle with the likes of Caleb Love and RJ Davis on the block and Armando Bacot should have a field day down low.
UNC won the first two meetings this season by a combined 18 points and won the rebounding margin in both.
Virginia Tech's backcourt of Strom Murphy and Sean Pedulla are too undersized and lack the dynamic playmaking to win off the bounce and set up their perimeter attack shooting. VT is 12th in ACC play in percentage of points generated on 2-point shots, heavily reliant on their 3-point shooting, and they are going to be settling against lengthy defenders and limited to one opportunity considering the Heels are No. 1 in defensive rebounding rate.
I'm simply playing matchups and UNC is a nightmare one for Va. Tech, as this season has showed. I personally parlayed their moneyline with Texas Tech, but -2 is a fair price for me to back.
PICK: North Carolina ML in parlay, LEAN: -2
