Von Miller to Win Super Bowl MVP Is Best Longshot Super Bowl 2022 Bet

I’ve been scouring the odds at WynnBET for a longshot bet to make all week, and I think I may have landed on one. 

Before I begin, I am 100 percent on the Cincinnati Bengals to win this Super Bowl over the Los Angeles Rams, but on the off chance that they don’t, I think there is a player with long odds that could be a target for Super Bowl MVP. 

If Cincinnati loses, it is likely going to be because the Rams’ pass rush is just too much for the Bengals offensive line, which would open the door for Aaron Donald or Von Miller to win Super Bowl MVP. While Donald’s odds are at +1600, Miller sits at +5000 at WynnBET, and I think he is worth a wager at that number. 

Joe Burrow took nine sacks against the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round of the playoffs, but the Bengals defense, and some timely Burrow throws, allowed Cincy to escape with a win. 

We could see a similar game script on Sunday in Super Bowl 56, as I think the Bengals’ defense is being criminally overlooked heading into this game. I discussed this a bit in our Best Bets video on Tuesday, and I think that Burrow is the better quarterback in this game.

So how does this benefit Miller? 

Well, if both offenses struggle and the Rams win, there’s an immediate chance that a defensive player can win Super Bowl MVP. Miller won the award in Super Bowl 50 with a pair of strip sacks of Cam Newton, including the game-sealing play, which I think is one of the best plays in NFL history. 

We already know Miller has what it takes to win this award, and while the Bengals may attempt to double Donald inside, it’s going to be much harder with Miller coming off the edge. 

Burrow has been great under pressure this season, and he’s gotten the ball out quick when he needs to, but if that doesn’t happen in Super Bowl 56, I think Miller has a real chance to take this award. 

Miller has seven sacks in his last seven games, and he’s also made 12 tackles for a loss over that stretch, forcing two fumbles. 

Maybe it’s because I don’t believe in Matthew Stafford, but if the Rams win this game it’s going to be on the back of the defense. Getting Miller at +5000 odds may be a steal for a player that has shined in the bright lights in his career.
