Wackiest Super Bowl 2022 Prop Bets for Rams vs. Bengals

With a ton of articles on the right props to bet on, I wanted to take a look at what some would consider the "wrong" bet.

With all the Super Bowl props flying around these days, it’s easy to get lost in all the numbers.

I wanted to take a different approach and focus in on some of the more fringe props available at WynnBET Sportsbook. There are no exotics yet listed like Gatorade color and such, but there is still a ton of weird props on the menu.

Let’s take a look at a few and break down how they might turn out.

Ja’Marr Chase to Score 2+ Touchdowns +550

While one touchdown in the Super Bowl is a lifelong goal for many players, there have been several to score two or more. The record for touchdowns scored in a Super Bowl is three and it has happened six times to five different players: Roger Craig, Ricky Watters, Terrell Davis, James White, and Jerry Rice. The greatest wide receiver of all-time managed to score three in a Super Bowl but somehow did it twice.

Additionally. Rob Gronkowski is the only other player to have multiple Super Bowl games with two-plus touchdowns. All in all, there have been 35 times a player has scored more than once in a Super Bowl.

Circling back to Chase, I think that if anyone in this game has a chance to accomplish this, it's him. While he has been pretty quiet in the playoffs, Chase has three games with multiple receiving touchdowns this season. It’s a bit of a long shot but this is one of the fringe props that actually has some practical value.

Evan McPherson to win Super Bowl MVP +10000

Moving on from the unlikely to the nearly impossible, I wanted to entertain the idea that a kicker could possibly win the Super Bowl MVP.

First off, as far as I am concerned, McPherson is the MVP of the Bengals so far in the playoffs. He has already won two games with his foot this postseason after kicking game-winners against the Chiefs and Titans in back-to-back weeks. I won’t say that those wins are on him alone, but he would be blamed for the losses had he missed one of those kicks.

It should come as no surprise that a kicker has never won a Super Bowl MVP and only three defensive players have hoisted the hardware in its 55-year history. If McPherson is called upon for another game-winner and nails it. I think the kid would earn the title of Super Bowl MVP.
