The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are looking to keep the momentum going after a road win over Virginia their last time out. They are once again on the road, but this time in Georgia to take on Georgia Tech. It was the latest quality win in what has been a very strong season for Wake Forest. Now 14-4, the Demon Deacons are still looking for success in the ACC where they have a subpar 4-3 record.

Wake Forest is in a great spot to pick up a conference win tonight with the Yellow Jackets just 7-9 overall and 1-5 in ACC play. It is kind of surprising after GT started the year so well. But, after losing five in a row and falling below .500, this team is in trouble of tumbling out of relevance. Their most recent ACC loss came at the hands of powerhouse North Carolina, 88-65, and leaves the Yellow Jackets 15th in the conference.

Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech Prediction and Pick

The timing for this game couldn’t be better for the Demon Deacons. They have a bit of momentum coming off a big win on the road. They have won three of their last four with the outlier being a loss to a top 10 Duke team. And, perhaps most importantly, the fact that Georgia Tech is playing terrible basketball over the last couple of weeks. The loss to UNC is totally forgivable, but they have lost 8 of their last 10 games overall. Wake Forest has a better offense, better shooting from behind the arc, and score down low better as well. They have a shot of breaking into the top 25 with a strong week and a big win over Georgia Tech would be a great step towards getting ranked. Wake Forest needs to win these road games in order to remain inside the tournament bubble and, with nine losses, Georgia Tech is already on the ropes.

Pick: Wake Forest -2.5 (-110)
