The No. 19 Wake Forest Demon Deacons continue their climb up the AP Poll after a nail-biting 37-34 victory over the Louisville Cardinals in Week 5. The Demon Deacons are now 5-0. Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman played well against Louisville, throwing for 324 yards and two touchdown passes.

The Syracuse Orange fell to the Florida State Seminoles last week, 33-30. It was a tough loss to take after defeating Liberty the previous week. 

Syracuse running back Sean Tucker continued his surprise season, rushing for 102 yards in last week's loss. Tucker has run for 100 or more yards in four of five games this season.

Syracuse has a quietly solid defense. They currently allow just 167 passing yards per game, 117.6 rushing yards per game, and 20.8 points against per game. While Wake Forest’s offense has been impressive, this may be the best defense it has faced all season.

In their last three ACC matchups, the Demon Deacons beat the Florida State Seminoles, Virginia Cavaliers, and Louisville Cardinals, scoring at least 35 points in each game. It won’t be as easy against the Orange’s defense in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.

I’m taking Syracuse at +6.5 on the spread and I will take them to complete the upset too at +205 on the moneyline.
