In what’s been deemed the “Year of the Pitcher,” one who has been surprisingly flying under the radar is Walker Buehler. The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher is sporting a 2.56 ERA and a 0.905 WHIP through his first twelve starts this season.

What’s even more impressive than his stats, is that Buehler hasn’t been credited with a loss in 21-straight starts. The last time the right-handed pitcher was credited with a loss was September 21, 2019 in a game against the Colorado Rockies. Since then, he has a clean record of 7-0 and 14 no decisions. He has a chance to build on that impressive run tonight.

Another significant streak will continue for the Dodgers, as they’re once again set as betting favorites for the 144th straight game tonight when they take on the Texas Rangers. Los Angeles hasn’t been an underdog since October 7, 2019 in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Washington Nationals.

WynnBET has the Dodgers set as sizable -250 favorites tonight against Texas, which is set as a +200 underdog. The total for the game is set at 8 runs with the under slightly favored (-115) to the over (-105).

Buehler will get the start across from Dane Dunning, who the Rangers acquired from the Chicago White Sox this past offseason. Dunning enters the game with a 2-4 record and an ERA of 4.26. The 26-year old is coming off a five inning scoreless performance in a no decision against the Tampa Bay Rays.

If you’re looking for a player prop for the interleague matchup, WynnBET has Buehler’s strikeout total set at 7.5. The under on his strikeout prop is set as the -160 favorite, but it’s still the way to go given Buehler has surpassed 7.5 strikeouts since only once in his last five starts.
