The Boston Celtics’ backs are against the wall in the NBA Finals, now down 3-2 entering Thursday's Game 6 matchup in Boston.

For the first time all postseason, the Celtics lost back-to-back games when they dropped Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors 104-94 on Monday night. Golden State withstood a major third quarter run by Boston to secure their second home win of the series.

There are certainly some major concerns for Boston, as Steph Curry played by far his worst game of the NBA Finals, yet Andrew Wiggins stepped up for Golden State to come away with the win.

Boston has turned the ball over far too many times in the past two games, and will need a more disciplined approach to extend this series to a winner-take-all Game 7 back in San Francisco.

Let’s jump into the odds for Game 6 via WynnBET:

Warriors vs. Celtics Prediction and Pick

My original pick for this series was the Celtics in seven games, and while I’m not nearly as confident as I was earlier in this series, I do think we are going to see a Game 7.

The Warriors not only got a big game from Wiggins, but Draymond Green stepped up in Game 5 as well in Golden State. I’m not sure that happens again in Boston.

The Celtics started off ice-cold from 3-point range, and ultimately ran out of gas after taking the lead in the third quarter. However, if their role players can provide a little relief for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown at home, Boston has enough to get this back to Golden State.

Turnovers have been the key all postseason for Boston, so by betting on them, I’m betting on a bounce-back performance in that department.

Both of Boston’s wins in this series came in 12-turnover games, while the team turned the ball over 18, 15 and 18 times in its three losses. Not only that, but Tatum and Brown haven’t been able to put together full games of solid play over the last two matchups.

The Warriors showed at home that they can get by without Curry carrying the team, but does that hold true on the road?

Against a Boston team that is 7-1 off a loss in the playoffs, Golden State is going to need to be firing on all cylinders. I’m going to side with my original lean and bet Boston to get this to Game 7.

Lean: Celtics -4 (-108)
