Warriors vs. Kings Prediction and Odds: Can Steph Curry Stay Hot?
By Peter Dewey
The Golden State Warriors are off to a 2-0 start in the 2021-22 NBA season, and MVP candidate Steph Curry is a huge reason why.
After putting up a triple-double in the team’s season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry dropped 45 points on the Los Angeles Clippers, including a crazy first quarter where he went 9-for-9 from the field.
The Warriors will hit the road to face the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. Sacramento won its season opener against the Portland Trail Blazers before losing to the Utah Jazz on Friday.
Rookie guard Davion Mitchell has been putting on a defensive showcase so far this season, and it’s possible the Kings give him the tough task shadowing Curry in Sunday’s matchup.

Kings vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick
When Steph Curry is hot, it’s really hard to bet against him.
The Kings couldn’t hold Curry last season, as he averaged 33.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from beyond the arc.
Sacramento finished the 2020-21 season with the second-worst defensive rating of all time, and it has allowed 121 and 110 points in its first two games this season.
Mitchell is a great defender, but the rest of the squad, and Luke Walton’s scheme, has led to the Kings being one of the NBA’s worst defensive teams.
234 is a lot of points, but I’m going to take the over and back the Warriors on the moneyline in this one. Sacramento has competed with two playoff teams from last season, but I think the Warriors stay hot after a great start in the first week of the season.
