The Golden State Warriors are on a three-game losing streak and dangerously close to falling out of the second spot in the Western Conference. With a mere half-game lead over the Memphis Grizzlies, every win counts right now. That goes double for the Los Angeles Lakers as they are two games away from sliding out of the playoffs altogether. The Lakers are in a more desperate situation after losing seven of their last eight, but I’m not sure that will be enough to pull out an ATS win tonight. Warriors vs. Lakers Prediction and Pick

The big knock against the Warriors, losing streak aside, is the injuries they are currently dealing with. Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala remain out with back injuries while Gary Payton II is out with a knee injury. These absences have had a major effect on the Warriors' defense and are a big reason why they have lost seven of their last ten. Green specifically is a key component of this team and Golden State is just 15-14 when he is out of the lineup with a +3.9 point differential. Those numbers jump to 28-6 and +9.2 when Green is on the court. And while I would second guess taking them against most teams, I do like them in this matchup against the Lakers. For starters, the Lakers lost to the Warriors twice this year already. LA is also on a four-game ATS losing streak and have gone 2-6 ATS in their last eight.

The fact of the matter is that the Warriors have been a much better team all year and remain so despite recent struggles.

Lean: Golden State Warriors -6 (-110)
