Warriors vs. Mavericks prediction and odds for NBA Summer League (Expect plenty of points)

The Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks could play a high-scoring game on Wednesday.

The Golden State Warriors have yet to pick up a win at the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League heading into their matchup on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks. 

After losing to Oklahoma City in its first game in Vegas, Dallas bounced back with a win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night. Jaden Hardy (24 points) led the way for the Mavericks in that game, but Dallas does have two first-round picks in Dereck Lively II and Olivier-Maxence Prosper to watch in this matchup. 

Lester Quinones has starred for Golden State this summer, but the team has struggled to pick up wins – even when it was in the California Classic.

Warriors vs. Mavericks prediction and pick

Hardy is one of the better players in the Summer League, as he showcased elite scoring talent when called upon at the NBA level in the 2022-23 season. 

That makes Dallas a major threat, especially after the team put up 111 points against Philly on Monday night. 

Golden State has been around 90 points in every game this summer, but the wins haven’t come as a result. 

I lean with the Mavericks in this spot, but I think the best bet is on the OVER. Dallas still scored 80 points against a tough OKC team, and the Mavs should see more from their first-round picks as the summer goes on. 

Meanwhile, the Warriors 199 and 180 points in their first two games in Las Vegas. I expect points to be scored at will on Wednesday.
