Warriors vs. Spurs Prediction and Odds (Trend Says Fade Spurs as Home Underdog)
By Peter Dewey
The Golden State Warriors have started to find their groove, and Steph Curry may have broken out of his shooting slump with a big game against the Houston Rockets on Monday night.
Now, the Warriors will take their six-game winning streak into the second night of a back-to-back against the San Antonio Spurs.
Golden State will get Otto Porter Jr. back in the lineup for this game, but all signs point to Klay Thompson sitting on the second night of a back-to-back.
Can Golden State still cover? Here are the odds via WynnBET:
Warriors vs. Spurs Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Warriors: -2.5 (-110)
- Spurs: +2.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Warriors: -140
- Spurs: +115
Total:
- 225.5 (Over -110/Under -110)
Warriors vs. Spurs Prediction and Pick
The Spurs have been one team that I’ve enjoyed betting on this season, but I think they are overvalued in this spot with Steph Curry currently expected to play.
The Spurs are a shocking 5-10 against the spread when they are underdogs at home this season, and they are just slight dogs against Golden State, who has the league’s best net rating this season.
The Warriors’ No. 1 defense is going to make things tough on the Spurs and Dejounte Murray, and while Golden State will be without Thompson, Gary Payton and Jordan Poole have proven they are more than capable of filling in this season.
If Curry truly is back after a 21-point fourth quarter on Monday, I like Golden State to come away with the win and cover.
Lean: Warriors -2.5 (-110)
