Washington appeared to be a dark horse PAC-12 contender after a 4-0 start, but the team was trounced on the road against UCLA.

The Huskies are back on the road this week, albeit against an easier opponent in Arizona State, who is still reeling from firing head coach Herm Edwards. The Sun Devils were able to cover a big number against USC on the road, can they make it two straight ATS winners?

Here are the odds from FanDuel Sportsbook:

Washington vs. Arizona State Odds, Spread and Total

Washington vs. Arizona State Betting Trends

  • Washington is 4-1 against the spread (ATS) this season, all as favorites
  • Washington is 4-0-1 to the OVER this season
  • Arizona State has gone UNDER in four of five games this season

Washington vs. Arizona State Prediction and Pick

Washington's offense was just fine against UCLA, passing for 345 yards in a 40-32 loss. Two turnovers cost Michael Penix and the Huskies offense, but the defense should get a reprieve this week after being gashed against Dorian Thompson-Robinson for 360+ yards against Arizona State.

The Sun Devils are 80th in yards per play and 118th in offensive line yards. Emory Jones won't challenge the Huskies questionable secondary like DTR did, the team is 92nd in explosive pass rate and the defense is in for a long afternoon against Penix and co. in the passing game.

ASU is bottom 10 nationally in defensive success rate as well as tackles for loss and won't be able to keep Washington out of the end zone. Arizona State was +16.5 last week at home against Utah and lost by 21, I think Washington should be above the key number of 14 and will bet them as road favorites.
