We were treated to a Hail Mary winner this afternoon in SMU-Louisiana Tech!

In a back and forth affair, SMU walked it off on this insane play. They weren't able to cover the 11-point spread, but the Mustangs are no doubt thrilled to escape with a win.

Quarterback Tanner Mordecai completed 36-of-48 passes for 395 yards and five touchdowns. Of course, the most important was the improbable TD at the horn to Reggie Roberson Jr.

SMU improved to 3-0 on the season with an in-state rivalry game at TCU next week. Louisiana Tech fell to 1-2 with the painful loss. They play North Texas next week in AAC play.

This was no doubt the play of the day in college football.
