Everton managed to play their way out of the regulation zone with back-to-back wins for the first time in eight months. The Blues aren’t out of the woods yet as they hold a mere one-point lead over relegated Leeds United. Therefore, they need to keep their foot on the gas down the home stretch.
Luckily for Everton, they host a Watford team that has no shot of escaping relegation. With just 22 total points, Watford is 12 points behind Everton and their season is basically over. Nothing left to fight for than to maybe drag Everton down with them.

Watford looks like a beaten team because that is exactly what they are. They are the only EPL team with a losing streak of four or more after dropping six straight. With just one win since March 13, Watford is just one point ahead of last place in Norwich City. They were shut out in their last EPL game on Saturday against Crystal Palace and haven’t scored more than one goal in a game since early March.
Everton took a big step by getting out of the bottom three. But, work is not done and they need a win here to keep their heads above water. The Blues are looking good lately with wins in three of their last five games with just one loss in that span. I don’t see Watford stepping up at this point in the year and for Everton to cruise to a third straight win.
