Baylor came up short in their SEC/Big 12 Challenge matchup at Alabama, but now head back home to Waco, Texas to face a West Virginia team that's season is going off the rails.

Bobby Huggins club has dropped five in a row and sit at 2-5 in Big 12 play. However, are they being undervalued in this spot catching a ton of points against a Baylor team they just competed with two weeks ago?

Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

West Virginia vs. Baylor Prediction and Pick

West Virginia fell to Baylor by 9 in Morgantown on January 18th, but the Mountaineers competed in that one, leading at a point in the game. However, the team was unable to convert some easy buckets in the second half that led to a non-cover.

Now they meet again, but the Bears are still plagued by injuries. James Akinjo returned from a previous ailment, but now has a tailbone injury that has been bothering him for the past weeks. Meanwhile, the team has Jeremy Sochan back in the fold, but LJ Cryer missed the team's lost at Alabama on Saturday.

However, this could be a get right spot against a West Virginia team that is quickly falling to the basement of the conference.

I'm going to push back though and say that West Virginia can hang around and cover this massive number. The Bears could take this game easy on the likes of Akinjo if he's not 100% with Kansas on the road this coming Saturday and West Virginia could finally get some positive regression on their two-point offense against a vulnerable Baylor interior.

West Va is shooting 40% on two-point tries in conference play but Baylor is allowing opponents to hit on a remarkable 53% of their attempts from inside.

This could be a tricky sandwhich spot for the Bears and mayb e a sign of life from the Mountaineers after they nearly came back on the road this past Saturday.
