The NL East is bashing the baseball this season, and it's led to a welcome sight for "over" bettors in the Big Leagues.

The Philadelphia Phillies saw their over/under record drop to 36-25-2 in their 3-1 home victory this afternoon over the Miami Marlins, but through 62 games this season with 100 still to go, they've been the best over bet in baseball.

Their division rivals, the Atlanta Braves, have also seen their over record soar in the midst of their 13-game win streak. The Braves are 34-26-3 in overs this season, hitting the mark just under 57% of the time.

Here are the top 5 teams this season when it comes to overs in 2022.

How Have the Braves and Phillies' Winning Streaks Impacted Their Over/Unders?

Seeing the Braves right near the top of the leaderboard might suggest their recent play has helped the overs hit as of late, but it turns out, it hasn't been the case at all.

Since June 1, the date that Atlanta's winning streak began, Atlanta is 13-0 on the moneyline, 11-2 on the run line, but just 6-7 in overs.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia's recent win streak of nine games in a row to start the month of June did play a sizable role in overs hitting. In 7 of the 9 games the Phillies won consecutively, the over went on to hit. For the month overall, they're 10-2 on the moneyline, 8-4 on the run line (including three straight losses), and 9-3 in overs.

The Phillies and Nationals match up for four games beginning on Thursday, June 16, so expect the overs to continue to hit between these two teams ranking in the top 5 through mid-June.
