What Will Tiger Woods Shoot in Round 1 at the Masters?
By Joe Summers
Tiger is BACK.
The GOAT of golf plans to tee it up for the 2022 edition of The Masters and all eyes will be on the five-time winner.
WynnBET Sportsbook has Tiger listed at +6000 to win The Masters, but how will he look at he tees off on Thursday at 10:34 AM EST for the first time in 18 months?
Tiger Woods Round 1 Score Prediction
Tiger has been sensational in his Masters' history. WynnBET has the over/under for his first round score set at 74.5 (Over -110/Under -110), but how will Woods look after such a long layoff?
It's miraculous Tiger is even playing after nearly losing his life in a car accident, so it's absurd we're even considering the possibility of a strong performance.
But Tiger's golf life has been consumed by absurdities and I'm not going to fade him now. By all accounts, he's looked great in his practice rounds and he said himself that he believes he can win. He'll be focused and ready to get off to a strong start, so I love his chances of going under 74.5.
It's a par-72 course, so we only need him to shoot +2 or better. The concern for Tiger is that his body won't hold up over the duration of four full rounds, but he should be in relatively good shape for his opening round.
I don't believe Tiger would be playing if he didn't believe he could get off to a hot start and compete - there's no chance of that happening if he doesn't go under 74.5 in this first round.
It's the Masters and we want to enjoy it. We'll have a lot more fun cheering Tiger on than rooting against him, and I'm inclined to believe the five-time Masters winner has some tricks up his sleeve to shoot low on opening day.
Pick: Tiger Woods Round 1 Score Under 74.5 (-110)
