The San Diego Padres are hanging on by a thread in the NL West race, but they may have some much-needed help on the way.

Tatis Jr., who broke his wrist in a motorcycle accident during the offseason, took a positive step towards returning by taking full batting practice. Tatis Jr. had previously had trouble gripping a bat following the wrist injury.
