Top Prospects Run in the Family

Druw Jones, the No. 1 prospect in this year’s draft, is the son of former MLB outfielder Andruw Jones. He isn’t the only son of a former player that will be drafted early this year, as Carl Crawford’s son, Justin Crawford is the No. 13 prospect in this class, per MLB.com.

Kumar Rocker Back in MLB Draft

Kumar Rocker, the former Vanderbilt pitcher, who was drafted by the New York Mets last year but never came to an agreement on a deal, is listed as the No. 39 prospect in this class.

Rocker was the No. 10 overall pick in last year’s draft, so his stock has fallen a bit over the past year. However, he put up gaudy numbers at Vanderbilt, posting a career ERA of 2.89. He’s spent the last year playing in an Independent League.
