When Was the Last Time the Buccaneers Won the Super Bowl?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by Tom Brady are back in the postseason mix once again. After a first-round romp of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Buccaneers will host the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round.

When Was the Buccaneers’ Last Super Bowl Win?

In case you missed it, it was a big thing last year. When Brady elected to leave the cold of New England, it shocked the sports world. After all, Brady and Bill Belichick were the greatest coach/quarterback duo in the history of the sport, winning six Super Bowl rings up in New England. 

Brady went for a major latitude adjustment, as well as electing for a stark difference in head coaches from Belichick to Bruce Arians.

It took a few weeks for Tampa Bay to get going last season, but they steamrolled their way to the Super Bowl with an elite team on both sides of the ball, beating Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs 31-9. Brady got his seventh ring in 10 appearances. Both of which are records.

Over on WynnBET, the Buccaneers are currently sitting with the fourth-highest odds to win the Super Bowl at +550. That line has moved slightly in the last week, but not by much. They were +600 on Jan. 11 (I know this because I put money on that line). 

While the Buccaneers have the fourth-highest odds, I don’t know that there are any teams that I trust more than them. They have the G.O.A.T. on their side. I’ll never count out Brady in a playoff run. The Buccaneers have the fifth-ranked defense in EPA/play allowed and Rush EPA allowed. Yes, Tampa Bay was 16th in rushing yards per attempt, but the Bucs surrendered only seven rushing touchdowns all year.

With their defense and their quarterback, they have as good a chance as anyone at making it back to the Super Bowl.
